Secluded in the heart of Antipolo City, Pinto Arts Museum features a collection of paintings, sculptures, modern art pieces and other lots of interesting displays. Just less than an hour from Shangrila Mall – Shaw Blvd, commuters can actually visit the museum without getting lost over long and confusing direction. For the curious the museum features different galleries from its Mediterranean-inspired villas surrounded by flourishing gardens dotted with eloquent art installations. Its take on both modern and contemporary art are fun & intriguing that even the not so artsy will keep walking.
While on some area, indigenous art pieces from our northern Luzon tribes are present. The museum covers 6 buildings offering different art galleries yet it never fails to curate the art style harmoniously. We actually felt like stepping into a new world when we entered its compound.
While for photographers and instagram addicts the whole museum is visual treat because it offers plethora of interesting frames. Every area holds different emotion and drama. Everything is picture-perfect, no doubt it has been a favorite place for pre-nuptial shots and other pictorials.
Don’t underestimate this museum because aside from the rich artworks, sculptures, and paintings it bears, the museum showcases a dainty landscape and architecture that is visually appetizing. Not to mention the garden café which offers delectable dishes that are sure to complete your Pinto Arts Museum experience.
Unlike other museums we visited in the past where we spent little time inside, frolicking inside Pinto Arts Museum took us half a day. The galleries and art displays are utterly compelling and stimulating. We took more time interpreting and catching the artist’s message on each art pieces and spent time capturing the fascinating corners of the museum.
How to Get to Pinto Art Museum
By Public Transportation:
1. Just take any Jeep/FX going to Antipolo (signboard like Antipolo-Simbahan, Juntion, or Shopwise; Tanay-Rizal; Tikling. (There is a jeepney terminal in Greenfield District, in front of Shangri-la Shaw; FX on SM Megamall Parking Terminal. The fare should amount less than Php 50.00).
2. Get off at Ynares Center, get a tricycle from there and ask the driver to take you to Pinto Art Museum which should cost you Php40.00.
By Private Vehicle:
Take Ortigas Extension, passing by Cainta-Junction, then Tikling until you reach Ynares Center, turn right then follow the road which will lead you to Grand Heights. For your convenience use the GPS coordinates below and place it in your map app. GPS 14.5810811,121.1637
